Just came back from JA Special Delivery
For sure this is one of cool trade shows - you can see the high-end jewelry and upcoming designers under one roof.
The place was professionally done and welcoming for buyers, visitors, and seekers. Lots of diamonds, gold, silver, precious stones, etc. I bet every girl will find "it" here for a price to steal.
Well...I am not the expert....but... the trend you cannot ignore. There is a price tag as low as $7 to $35,000. Some vendor is selling a $15 watch in a bucket and very very few people were around the gold jewelry booth (yes, the gold price is crazy!).
The last two streets (or rows) are occupied by suppliers from Hong Kong - well they all look like the same booth or the same people (!?).
Well, I will definitely come to the next JA show - just to see more cool staff and meet great designers. But some expressed the mixed feelings - affordable or just very cheap jewelries? As the economy points down to south for a while, our faces of the buyers and the consumers continue to shift - good or bad, jewelry makers must change their line-up and chase the trends to attract new buyers in the block.
